Models Own - Disco Pants

Models Own are killing my bank account with all their new gorgeous collections! Not fair!
I managed to get hold of three of their newest Disco Pants polishes from Superdrug using their 3 for 2 offer.

This beautiful green is Paradise Garage. It's such a stunning green silk. It applies beautifully and is totally different to other greens. Perfect to jazz up the winter!
This is 2 thick coats with no top coat

Next is Roxy. It's a stunning glitter creme. It has such a beautiful shine and again applies so easily.
This is two medium coats with no top coat.

And the last one I got was Copacabana. I don't have any gold polishes so I had to get this one to fill that gap in my collection! It is another silk creme and again applies really nicely.
Two thick coats with no top coat.

I love this collection and I'd love to get my hands on the other two! But please, no new collections for a while!

Until next time,

- Esther :)

Holo

How gorgeous is this blue holo polish from Born Pretty Store?! It's such a stunning colour and the shine is to die for! New favourite here, me thinks!

Until next time,

- Esther :)

Pink

Roses seem to be my go to design at the moment. They're so easy and quick but always look so pretty! Here's a pink and girly design I did last week.

I used Models Own - Oval Plum and acrylic paint.

Until next time,

Essie Swatches

This week I got two new Essie polishes. I got them off eBay for a great price and so I thought I'd swatch them.

First is The Twill Of It All. It's a stunning two-tone metallic polish that is a dream to use and dries amazingly fast. I'm absolutely in love with this colour, which is unusual as I'm not usually a fan of metallics.
This is two coats with no top coat.

Second we have Under The Twilight. This is a stunningly rich dark bluey/purple. I can't describe how yummy the colour is and it's just perfect for winter. Again it has a perfect consistency and dries really fast.
This is two coats with no top coat but I could have got away with just one thick coat.

Until next time,

- Esther :)

Halloween Nails

Halloween is just round the corner, and social media seems to have been taken over by halloween designed nails! I'm not a huge fan of halloween, but I thought I'd try to get into the spirit of things with some themed nails. So here we've got (in case you can't tell!) a ghost, a spiders web, a flying pumpkin, and a haunted house.

The base colour is BarryM - Persian with Rimmel - Finishing Touch Top Coat over it. The designs are all acrylic paint.

Until next time,

- Esther :)

Rainbow Feather

I've seen a few of these kind of feathers on Instagram and fancied giving it a go. Mine is no where near the standard of some of the ones I've seen, but for a first try I was pretty happy with it.

I used all acrylic paint for this design.

Until next time,

- Esther :)

Galaxy

I'm really into Galaxy manis and this one really came from nowhere the other day. I was super happy with it though and left it on my nails for a record 3 days!

The polishes I used were - BarryM - Persian, Poppy, and Forest, Rimmel - Finishing Touch Top Coat, and acrylic paint for the stars.

Until next time,

- Esther :)

Tie Dye

In this miserable weather I wanted to use some bright colours to cheer me up. So I settled for a simple tie-dye design. Nice and cheerful as well as being quick and effective.

The colours I used were ; Models Own - Red Lustre, Models Own - Marquise Maroon, BarryM - Copa Cabana, Rimmel - Oragasm, Zoya - Pippa, Models Own - Luis Lemon, O.P.I. - Tangerine Scene, Rimmel - Tangy Tangerine, Models Own - Toxic Apple, Models Own - Emerald Green, Models Own - Turquoise Gloss, Rimmel - Block Your Green, Models Own - Valerian, BarryM - Forest, Models Own - Asscher Blue, BarryM - Blue Grape, O.P.I. - Viking In A Vinter Vonderland, Sally Hansen - Plums The Word, BarryM - Poppy, BarryM - Pomegranate, and BarryM - Silver Glitter!

Until next time,

- Esther :)

BarryM - Persian

In the last two weeks BarryM have added loads of new polishes to their current collections. This is one of the two polishes they added to their Aquarium collection.

It's a beautiful colour changing purple/gold. It's perfect for winter parties and has a lovely consistency. Here it is by itself with two coats and no top coat (above), and with Rimmel's Finishing Touch Glitter Top Coat (below).

Until next time,

- Esther :)

Rose Mani

Roses are just my favourite at the minute! They're quick and easy to do and can be so effective.

Here's a rose mani I did this week using Models Own - Marquise Maroon, BarryM - Ruby Glitter, and acrylic paint.

Until next time,

- Esther :)

BarryM Silk Swatches

As some of you may know, BarryM just added 3 winter colours to their Silk Collection. I managed to get my hands on these two, and I'll be getting the third next time I pass a Boots or Superdrug!

First we have Poppy. This is an absolutely stunning deep red. It's the perfect colour for Autumn/Winter and my favourite colour nail polish that I've got for a very long time. The shimmer make it easy to dress up or down and put into art. This was two easy coats with no top coat.

And secondly we have Forest. This is a beautiful, rich teal colour and again is a must have in any autumn collection. The shimmer is stunning in this one and lightens what can be a very dull colour. Again, this was two easy coats with no top coat.

Until next time,

- Esther :)

Autumn Favourites

As autumn has now well and truly set in, I thought I'd share a few of my favourite colours for the gloomy season. (Can you tell I'm a summer person?!)

First up is Sinful Colors - Envy. It's a really rich and deep green and is perfect for autumn or even matching with red for a Christmas theme later on. It has quite a thin consistency but applies easily and dries quickly. This is 3 thin coats with no top coat.

Next we have BarryM - Coconut. I know lighter colours are supposed to be for spring/summer, but I love a nude colour all year round. It pairs perfectly with any outfit and it just easy to wear. The consistency is fantastic, this is 2 thick coats with no top coat.

Next I chose BarryM - Ruby Glitter. i put it over BarryM - Coconut so you can really se what it's like. It's a gorgeous black and red sequin glitter and is perfect to jazz up any autumnal mani. This was 1 thin coat with no top coat.

Now I love a plain black mani, but I've been told by friends it's a little to depressing for every day! So Here's my autumnal twist on a classic. Models Own - Obsidian. Just having the black with the glitter makes it lighter and more seasonal and just perfect for parties. This is 2 thick coats but it really could have done with a third coat just to even it out.

Next we have Sally Hansen - Plums The Word. It's such a perfect colour for autumn as it's muted but not dull. It's a beautiful plum/dusky purple colour and as with all Sally Hansen polishes it has a lovely consistency and dries really fast. This is 2 medium coats with no top coat.

And Last but not least we have Rimmel - Round And Round The Garden. It's a gorgeous muted, moss green and would be perfect put into autumnal nail art as well as just by itself. It has a great consistency and this was 2 medium coats with no top coat.

Until next time,

- Esther :)

Frank The Unicorn

The other day I really wasn't sure what to do on my nails so I painted on just a plain coat of Models Own - Lilac Sheen and topped it off with F.U.N. Lacquer's Diamond Holo Top Coat.

Then suddenly I was inspired to try something different to usual, and Frank the Unicorn was born!
I'm so happy with him, he's just so cute and it's such a different thing to what i usually do.

For Frank I used BarryM - Blossom for the mane and acrylic paint for the rest.

Until next time,

- Esther :)
