Orchid

I got my greedy hands on BarryM Orchid and Atlantis this last week and just had to put them together! They're both stunning and I loved going back to basics with the glitter on my ring finger.

Until next time,

Green Fantasy

Yesterday's #nailartchallengenov was 'Green Fantasy'. I didn't really know what that meant so took some inspiration from Google images and came up with this swirly pretty green theme.

The polishes I used were - Models Own - Paradise Garage, Emerald Green, Magpie Green, Toxic Apple, Apple Pie, Emerald City

Simple Blue

I was feeling really uninspired the other day but knew I wanted to do a blue design. So I came up with these simple flowers.

The colours I used were Essie - Lapiz Of Luxury, Models Own - Inky Blue, and O.P.I. - Put A Coat On It.

Velvet Matte by Rimmel

How s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g is this matte navy blue Midnight Kiss by Rimmel?! It's just to die for! It has the perfect consistency, goes on like a dream, and dries insanely fast! It's a slightly lighter colour than this in real life but it's just so rich and deep. This is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

3d Texture P.S. Polish

My gorgeous boo, Sarah, over at 500 Days Of Fashion got me this utterly stunning silvery blue glitter from Primark the other day. I can't get over how beautiful it is and how amazing the consistency and texture is!  This is two thick coats with no top coat.

Models Own Diamond Luxe Swatches

I swatched 4 Diamond Luxe colours a few weeks back, and this week I managed to get my hands on 3 more from the collection!

First is Pear Purple. Its a really beautiful lilac colour and I'm looking forward to using it in nail art rather than just by itself. It has a lovely shimmer and goes on easily.
This is 2 thick coats with no top coat.

Next is Radiant Pink. It's so bright! It's almost a shimmery neon. I'm not usually a pink person but I really love this colour and the shimmer sets it off beautifully.
This is 3 medium coats with no top coat.

And lastly is Trillion Taupe. It's a gorgeous nude shimmery colour and will be perfect for the winter. I found this had the hardest consistency to manage.

BarryM Glitter Swatches

BarryM has had so many releases recently, I just can't keep up! I'm a sucker for glitter so to not be able to afford all of their new glitter collections is killing me, but I managed to get two of them this week using Boots 3 for 2 offer.

First is Fashion Icon. This is a terrible phot and doesn't to the glitter justice at all. It real life it is an absolutely stunning purply blue glitter. It is stunning in the sunlight and is becoming a fast favourite. I found the consistency quite hard to manage but it's totally worth the trouble for the end result!
This is 2 thick coats with no top.

And the other is Moonlight. It's a really beautiful large piece glitter topcoat with stars and red triangles and all sorts of shiny goodness in!

Models Own HyperGel Swatches

Models Own are killing me with all their new releases! I just can't keep up!
I managed to get 3 of their 5 new winter HyperGels and thought I'd share what I thought

First is Ebony Green. It's a stunning, shiny, dark green. It's the perfect shade for winter, but I found the consistency quite gloopy and hard to manage.
This is two thick coats with no top coat.

Next is Brunette Red. It's a deep red (looks a lot brighter in this picture) and again is my favourite winter colour. The consistency of this one was better and easier to work with.
This is two medium coats with no top coat.

And last is my favourite - Inky Blue. It's a stunning navy blue and again is a lot darker than this picture shows. The consistency again is quite hard to manage but it makes up for it in the gorgeous colour.

Tweed

My second day of the #nailartchallengenov was tweed nails. I've never done this technique before but I'm really happy with the finished article, and it's quick and fun to do.

The colours I used were, Models Own - Trillion Taupe, Models Own - Radiant Pink, Models Own - Inky Blue, O.P.I. - Put A Coat On It, Models Own - Brunette Red, and topped off with HK Girl fast drying top coat.

Gradient Flowers

I haven't done a gradient for ages, honestly because I couldn't be bothered with the clean up. But during a boring week this week I decided to do it again, and I'm so happy I did! I'm really happy with the outcome. I love the colour combination and it was such a fresh and light mani.

The colours I used were - O.P.I. - Put A Coat On It, Models Own - Apple Pie, and Models Own - Paradise Garage.

#nailartchallengenov

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I haven't actually painted my nails that much in the last week but I have a few posts lined up and a week of swatches to come!

This month I decided to take part in the Instagram nail art challenge for November. I'm really excited to have a bit of a challenge and to try new designs and techniques.
This was the first design for the month - Zebra.

The polishes I used were - O.P.I - Put A Coat On It, Essie - Lapiz Of Luxury, Models Own - Red Lustre, Paradise Garage, Gumballs, and Roxy.

Until next time,

- Esther :)
